The Newest Band Member
Monday, November 2, 2009 at 02:31PM Pat and I asked Zane over and over what he wanted to be for Halloween. We asked him if he wanted to be a fireman, a train conductor, a dinosaur or anything other thing he'd like to be. He told us over and over "I want to be Tyler Bender Band." So that's just what we did. He didn't look that dressed up because he wears this kind of stuff anyways but we did get him a new pair of shoes to match the band. At his school Halloween parade he looked like the kid whose parents don't celebrate Halloween or that his mom forgot to dress him up. They wouldn't let him take in his drum sticks or guitar! Geez!
Halloween started off with heading across the street to our neighbors who came to the door with a scary wolf mask on. Zane's face was full of shock and his lip started to quiver so our neighbor ran back inside and sent his wife out. He came out shortly without the mask. But it made Zane very weary of going up to doors so we took turns carrying him up to doors for a bit till he got the idea that there wasn't anyone scary and he got candy! And yes, Pat and I also dressed up like the band.
We went trick or treating with Grace, Zane's future wife. :) Here's Zane showing her where more candy can be found.
Pat decked out a guitar for Zane to carry around. However, Zane decided he just wanted the drum sticks. Brian, you win!

He is SO adorable! Someday when he's opening for Coldplay on their reunion tour, I'll stick my teeth back in and tell my husband, "I remember seeing him on Maya's blog when he was two!" hahahaha
I guess he's grown out of his first pair of Converse...
Zane you are our favorite!! Drumsticks are wayyy cooler than a guitar anyday. Never let anyone tell you otherwise.
