I Wonder

Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like to start our businesses before we had Zane. What would our schedules look like? Would we have more time in the evenings to relax instead of work because Zane is in bed? Could we concentrate more on all the aspects of our businesses to help them grow?

I wonder about it a lot. As we find new ways to make time for work and time for play I catch myself thinking it must be easier without a child. But then I remember why we're at our current place. Zane becoming part of our family made us realize that there is no reason to wait till tomorrow to follow our dreams. We don't ever want him to think that so why would we show that as role models to him?

So regardless of the fact that it's difficult sometimes when we don't have childcare lined up for him and we're squeezing in work during naps and bedtime, I know we're in the right place. Sure maybe it would have been easier to do this before Zane was here but I think we would have had a totally different outlook on things and wouldn't be as focused.

We'll find that balance of work/life eventually and have to set some boundaries. I'll just have to wonder what it will be like when we find that, hopefully it's just around the corner.
