Bryan - Such Great Heights 2010 Senior

Bryan is another guy from Pat's Merge small group. It's so fun for me to hang out with them during their SGH session and get to know them. I also love watching Pat with his guys. He just knows them so well and it makes taking their senior photos super easy!

Bryan is hilarious! We are always cracking up at his Facebook posts and videos! He certainly knows how to make people laugh! He put up with all of our crazy locations in Broad Ripple and laughed as he told us how uncomfortable he was in front of the camera. He totally doesn't look uncomfortable!

Meet Bryan. (Bryan - I spelled your name right!!!)

What are your favorite activities?
Playing Guitar, MERGE (duh), being outside, listening to music, hanging out with my friends.

Love this photo of Bryan!

What activities are you involved with at school or outside of school?
Merge, Guitar, Boy Scouts, Camp Counselor at Cool Creek Park.

What do you do on a typical night out with friends?
Watch movies, jam on the guitar and do crazy random things. So pretty much normal teenager stuff.

What type of music/band makes you get up and dance?
I’m a big fan of Tyler Bender Band (just like Zane) and I like a lot of chill stuff.

Pete Yorn was rehearsing on the other side of that door. Bryan was patient as Pat and I dorked out about how excited we were to hear a preview of his concert.

What TV show are you addicted to? It's okay to admit it!
Lost..but Pat already knows all about that.

Bryan just looks too cool here.

Do you have a book you could read over and over?
Across the Wall by Garth Nix.

What food does your family cook that you will miss when you go to college?
My mom's meatloaf...weird I know.

Pat and Bryan joking around.

What are your hopes/plans for the future?
I want to be a teacher.

What do you want people to remember about you when they look back on your senior year?
I want them to remember a fun guy and someone who has their head on their shoulders and has a strong faith.

Bryan you rock! We know you're going to amazing things! Can't wait to see what the future holds for you.

Help-Portrait

When Pat and I decided to pursue photography full time we knew we wanted to touch others with our photographs. We wanted to evoke an emotion when people see themselves captured interacting with their loved ones. They could see themselves in a different light and feel a bit more confident along the way.

We have been blessed to be able to do this and continue to be amazed as our clients tug at our hearts and teach us so much. We want to share this as do some other photographers. On 12/12/09 we'll be helping out with Help-Portrait and are excited to work closely with some awesome photographers to provide this for those who can be touched by having their portrait to cherish.

If you're in the Indy area and are a photographer, a makeup artist, hairstylist, videographer or just someone that wants to help out please visit the Facebook page, join and we'll keep you updated. Also, if you know of organizations that would be great to include in this please let us know!

Family: Mike, Jackie, Sidney, Drew & Kyle

The house is filled with squeals from Drew's excitement of being on his parents bed, Sidney's doing dance moves in the living room and Kyle is taking it all in as he rolls from his belly to his back. Mike and Jackie stand in the middle of it all and I can just see how proud they are of their children.

At a nearby park I watch as Sidney and Drew run around as Mike chases and spins them around. Jackie sits with Kyle and quietly talks to him as she tries to get a smile out of him. Sidney and Drew explore the woods, find sticks and chase each other the way only kids can run. Mike tries to catch up but they're just too fast. The little moments like the way Jackie touches Drew's face or how Sidney cuddles into her youngest brother, Kyle, are what make this family so special.

Now it's your turn to witness their family beauty. Here's three month old Kyle and his Mom.

Kyle's rolling over skill was a hit!

Playful Sidney living it up on a swing.

Daddy and Drew playing on the swing.

I love the way Jackie is touching Drew's cheek.

This is what fatherhood is all about.

Sidney's dancing to her own beat, which happens to be a super fun one.

Cutie Kyle.

Exploring with Daddy.

This photo cracks me up. Sidney posing it up and Drew being a boy with stick!

Family snuggle time!

Catch Drew if you can.

I love the playfulness of this family!

Engaged: Alaina & Jon

We met up with Alaina and Jon in the exact location they got engaged. On the day they got engaged, Jon found a way to get Alaina out of work and personally walked to the location by her boss! Impressive Jon! She was a bit shocked when she saw him and overjoyed when he asked her to spend the rest of his life with her.

Jon is super sweet, don't tell him I told you! ;) But from the stories Alaina told me, he is a catch! They met during Alaina's freshman year of college, just like Pat and I met! Love it!

Here's Alaina and Jon!

When I asked Alaina how she knew she was going to marry Jon, she said "The first time I kissed him. I have never had someone make me laugh the way he does."

Their dog Murphy.

Jon said he knew he was going to marry Alaina "Because I know I can tell her anything, because she is like a best friend."

Alaina's right, Jon certainly does make her laugh!

Alaina is pretty funny too!

Every time we told Alaina she could kiss Jon she got so excited. It was so sweet!

More kissing!

Pat laying on the ground again! Love these shots he got.

The bubble gum strikes back!

This photo cracked Pat and I up! We told them to "work it" and Jon just stood there. So Alaina gave him thumbs down! Ha!

We are so excited for your wedding next August!!!

Taylor - Such Great Heights 2010 Senior

Taylor and her mom showed up to our early morning session with Starbucks in hand and ready to go. Taylor is super fashionable and had the coolest outfits picked out for her session. She has a fashion internship with Nordstorm's so you can imagine how good she is putting together unique outfits!

Taylor totally knew how to work it for the camera. At first she'd laugh, asking if she looked okay, and both her mom and I told her to just go for it! That the session was her chance to be herself. She completely rocked it!

Meet Taylor.

 What are your favorite activities?
I love playing volleyball and basketball. I also love reading, writing, fashion and just hanging with my friends.

Check out Taylor working it for the camera.

Yes. Jane Eyre and Redeeming Love. Normally if it is good I read it a few times.

What food does your family cook that you will miss when you go to college?
Take out? Ha ha! We used to cook more when I was younger but now we are too busy most of the time.

We headed to this country road and it was just perfect for a fall setting.

What are your hopes/plans for the future?
I plan on going to college and working in the Journalism or Fashion world in some way. I eventually want to get married and have 3-5 children. Odd numbers only! LOL!

Have I mentioned before that this is always my favorite question?!
